back from Cannes!

…and it was SO worth it, even if only for a couple of days! Met some cool people, saw some great shorts, but coolest of all was watching our little short in a screening room at the Palais des Festivals! All you struggling filmmakers out there, DON’T give up…believe in yourself, and you can be here, too!

we’ll be at Cannes from May 23 to 25…had to book late due to work obligations, but we’ll be there for the tail end of the festival! Let us know if you’ll be around the Palais!

Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner!

Our short film, AUDITION, is officially registered in the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner…and yeah, we’re pretty excited!!!

will we really be going to Austin?? (we hope, we hope…)?

Well, I did it. I entered us in SXSW, barely in time for the deadline. Wish us luck, once again…

film festival update:

AUDITION has been entered in 10 different national film festivals so far!

(HOOP SATURDAY has been entered in one as a co-entry, but thats only because most festivals require that the film was made during 2007.) Anyway, wish us luck!

This is another weird little film I made a while back. It’s an experimental documentary short, if you will, celebrating street ballers in NYC in the summer of 2003. I interviewed some of them, but they were surprisingly shy.

Vine screening info

Ok, all you Southern Californians! Here’s the info re: the screening of our current festival entry, AUDITION. It will be screened with a number of other shorts on Tuesday, October 30th, at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA at 12:15 pm. If you’re in the area, please drop by and show your support!

I just got an email the other day that my entry in Tropfest is a “potential finalist”. Is that good? I hope so! Meanwhile, spending the weekend filling out entry forms for a few select film festivals…
